Why is 200Hz needed? EDIT: Just read the explanation in the link. All good now. @ goks By the way, are you willing to fork out $AU 10,000 for this?

200fps for smooth images like with LCD out now it 100fps with X or XBR series it almost double

Z series is going to replace both X and XBR but same price as X
Come on ... another Bravia promotion and I'll consider the Z

Lol.. I doubt it wutang mate... They only did it for the other series cause they were older models and they wanted to clear it...
Its said the the human eye only sees at 60 fps so what's the point in having even more?
dont care about the hz, all about lowering that ms lag time that lcd's have.
Just a quick question on bravia tvs, but has anyone tried the 20" s series..? is it any good? would it be too small..
Is the response time too low..? (same as an x series one..)

The resolutions are good mate, it would be able to run at 760p or 1080i but it is probally to small to fully experince it. And yeah it does have a slow response time, most 8ms tv are not around these days.

yer, they're all up at (down at?) 4ms, and pc ones are like 2ms (probly just greytogrey though)
worth the $800 nz? (exact same $$ as a ps3, to put it into perspective)

yer, ive been thinking 26" inch for some time, and we have a 32 at home, but for a dorm next year.. what would be big enough/too big.. ?
Would you guys buy a Z "straight away" or wait for the BRAVIA promotions again? lol.

Wondering ... because I'd love a second Bravia. I'm cool with 32", because our main Bravia is 52" already ...
another gimmick 200hz what da!!!!
32.. money.. would it really be worth it..? suggestions on a good looking screen, kind on the pocket and 1080p?

really though >40" is far too big for any practical purpose.. 40"=max, i don't get why they have 72" things advertised..
what da - depending on what size your room is and your seating distance.....

i love my 70" 1080p i wouldnt go smaller

very true, i'll have to really think hard about it..

im not a fan of huge tvs, but if you're happy that's what really matters
im just wierd i guess
I'm happy with my samsung series 6 the colour range is 1/2 as much again as what the sony LCD's produce. I like my skin tones perfect. I rather have more colours than go from 100hz to 200hz. havent looked at the new 200hz sony's yet if they produce more colours than the current sony panels they maybe nice.
anyone know when bravia 8 series is out in australia

wow! very cool man. do you mind if I ask what the model number etc is and around how much you paid for it? I'd really love to buy one for the lounge room but I'm kind of juggling up between a new LCD or a projector. Cheers.
Why not make it "Buy a PS3 and get a Bravia Z"

I have a 22inch Monitor for pc , and it supports HDMI . So i plugged my ps3 to it also , it s a wesome monitor full 1080p support . Its a HP w2207h and a reasonable price at AUD 2000 .
