Just heard on the news and thougth I'd post here.

AT LEAST 10 people have been killed and more than 20 wounded when two gunmen wearing a gas masks and body armour opened fire at a crowded cinema premiere in Denver.

A little off topic though...

I ran into a friend in JB HiFi yesterday the shooting came up in conversation because he was seeing Batman that night, then this old guy who worked there turned around suddenly and started quizzing us about what we knew and shaking his head... it got weird fast as he started declaring it was all a conspiracy by the government for some legislation Obama was trying to pass and that the killer was trained by the army to act out his crime...

Anyway 5 minutes later as I started to edge further and further away awkwardly and nodding he was babbling about our current QLD politicians and more conspiracy theories. O_O

Overall I was shocked by some of the things coming out of his mouth and wondering if I should report it to the store manager. (because I shop there all the time and he seems to be new)

Because families go to see it? I remember when I was like 9 or 10 I went to bed early and was woken up around 11PM for a midnight screening of batman at the cinemas. So I don't find it that odd.

They go to bed early... and get woken up. I saw a a few young kids once at a midnight screening of star wars with their family years ago.

You don't take a 6 year old to a full cinema on premiere night of an adult film. Full stop.

In my one (was 6pm) some kid started screaming about halfway through... the whole cinema groaned. Why be that person. Idiots.

And this Batman isn't really suitable for kids.. fine if they're okay with it, but I am generalising and assuming the parent is taking their child out of a lack of knowledge. Heard a story last night where someone saw Hangover 2 in Gold Class and some idiot brought the entire family along, with 5 year olds, they were gone 20 minutes in.

Heard on the radio this morning that he is acting like the Joker in prison. Oh and, there's no way they'd let him get killed in prison, he will be in solitary, they have special sections in prisons for higher profile inmates. Might find a way to off himself, but you'd think if he wanted to do that he'd do it before they catch him. Then again, apparently his gun jammed, probably saved a lot of lives and probably why he didn't kill himself.

its shithouse ey, and the weird thing is a friggen neuroscience student, what would lead someone to do such a horrific act....
It was nice to see Christian Bale doing the rounds of all who were affected by this.
