$11 one from eBay, brand name of Magestic. cgi.ebay.com.au/...

A problem with some shavettes is that they aren't rigid enough, but this one is very rigid. The actual blade holder and tang are steel, and the blade isn't going anywhere.

Also, 23 hours after my straight razor shave, and still no stubble. :O

I'm tempted to try that. That's the one that uses razors yeah? I'm not to worried about cutting myself, I seem to need to have a limb amputated before I scar :P I dunno why but I rarely scar so I could probably safely learn to use a straight razor. I imagine if you got pro enough at that you could do it quickish.

Yup, half a DE blade. It takes me one or two minutes longer than using a safety razor because I actually have to think about where to put the blade. But I enjoy it a lot more than using safety razors.

Derby blades are easy to find, so they may be Derbys. PROTIP: Derby blades can be rough on the first shave. To fix this, grab a little cube of styrofoam, or a wine cork, and lightly run each side of the blade through it once.

Yeah, Derbys are highly variable in quality, even within the same pack.

UPDATE: So I tried cold shaving this morning. I ran into two problems:

1) Not enough lubrication (I was rushing and decided to face-lather).
2) Possibly dull blade (using a shavette)
3) Cold water made skin a bit tougher.

All of these meant that I nicked myself once, underneath the chin. I also missed a spot. The shave overall is quite nice, though: my face doesn't feel puffy or loose, it feels tight and fresh (that's what she said [monkey]).

I'd cut my head off with one of those, I rush through shaving everyday.
