I use one too (but the stropless kind with a replaceable blade). I enjoy using it, but you have to be super careful with new blades. The first time I used it I put a new blade in it without corking it, and held it loosely and without pressure, and for one of the strokes I brought it to my face with the wrong angle, and just the weight of the thing was enough to bite into my skin. I could feel the fine edge just beyond the epidermis.

Mine is a relic, twas my great-great-grandfathers, he used it in the trenches in WW1, the blade isnt replaceable, you need to hone it every 4 months or so. My great uncle gave it to me when he couldnt use it any more due to his hands shaking uncontrollably, that is when I cut my jaw. *rubs scar*
desi said: Here, I just took a picture of my razor, disassembled to show the three parts, and with a 5c coin to show the size and number of teeth on the comb. The thing on the right is the top of the razor. You put the blade over the posts, like so. You then put the middle part on top of it and upside down, to sandwich the blade. You then screw the handle into the middle post to hold it all together, and to force the blade to bend at the angle given by the head.

hamzie said: irocksock said: do you use that like any other razor? If by any other razor you mean cartridge razors then definitely not. you need to take care of the angles (about 30 degrees from your face) whilst making sure you apply 0 pressure
