Black Ops: Prestige Mode are you going to bother?

I remember when I used to play the first Modern Warfare on PS3 I dumped heaps of time into attempting to get through all 10 prestige levels. I got to about level 7 before I realised how much time I wasted so this time round with Black Ops I think I'm not going to bother, the plan is to get the highest level and just sit there and enjoy the guns and perks. Who else is going to do the same?
To be totally honest I haven't looked into it much to see if you actually get anything from going though the prestige levels with Black Ops but unless it's something spectacular I'm not going to give it a second though.

Bugger it. I'm prestiging, have in all the other cods, never made it to the top. Closest I got was 9 in cod4.

I will be, it'll make the game last longer as I'll have something to work to. Plus i want those damn gold weapons. I'm not planning on getting the next Modern Warfare game, assuming that it will be the next game released next year, so I have plenty of time.

Limited amount of money my butt... =D I had around 100k when I hit level 50. Then I spent 50k on the emblem stuff. Will have about 60k before I go to prestige when I reach the end of level 50.

I don't think I'll play this long enough to prestige more than 2-3 times. I'm getting pissed off at it already :P though losing the lag would greatly assist me in changing my mind.

Lag changes the game so much. You get disadvantaged so much with 3 bar connection. -_-

@Vile19 why can't we have two games nights? that are not on the same night [Facepalm] Zombies one night and Online the other night, plus i generally play with people outside of MMGN unless their is a game night and it gets a decent turnout...

Prestige is more for bragging rights and a sense of achievement rather than actually be rewarded with something. I think many people have missed the point here.

You actually do get rewarded more-so than MW2.

1. You get extra classes
2. You get different emblems to work with
3. You get different titles
4. At Prestige 14 you get coloured clan tags
5. At Prestige 15 you get to unlock golden camo's for ALL of your guns.
