Black Ops: Prestige Mode are you going to bother?

I remember when I used to play the first Modern Warfare on PS3 I dumped heaps of time into attempting to get through all 10 prestige levels. I got to about level 7 before I realised how much time I wasted so this time round with Black Ops I think I'm not going to bother, the plan is to get the highest level and just sit there and enjoy the guns and perks. Who else is going to do the same?
To be totally honest I haven't looked into it much to see if you actually get anything from going though the prestige levels with Black Ops but unless it's something spectacular I'm not going to give it a second though.

It called skill :P, I get like 3-5k in every game of SnD. The match bonus is ~200-400 pts for each kill you get in that round too *_*

Around 30 hours per prestige I THINK it took me, I stopped at 5 though cause of ppl hacking their accounts

per Prestige? I am at 5 days now (so 120 hours roughly) and am at level 59 1st Prestige. Most people on my friend leaderboards are roughly at the same ratio.

Surely it was more than 30 hours? Or I and all of my friends really suck... lol

Although, I spent a while on lvl 70.

it's already obvious that leveling up in blops is just ridiculous.
Within the first minute I was level 2, and by the end of the first match I'm pretty sure it was level 6.
Starting to take longer now, but that isn't helped by the servers dieing constantly and taking me back a level or 2.

I skipped level 2... Went from 1 - 3 - 5 - 7 in first prestige that is. I'm finding that the accumulated challenges u have done pay high xp so after 50 levels let's say u hve 3000 kills and get 2000xp as a reward when u are level 1 2000xp is alot, leveling at prestige is easier than no prestige

And it depends on you. I hate losing all the crap I earned but I want to make the game last longer.

It's only level 50 in Black Ops.

I prestiged last night so I could get the extra slot in Create a Class.
