Just starting this up cause I said I would just to see how many people are interested in this game, since there has hardly been any mention of this game on mmgn at all.

To sum things up in my perspective Tera online is an open world action subscription based MMO.

It's probably one of the more official unique MMOs compared to the likes of WoW etc, but it's by far from the truth, action MMOs are here and there with micro transactions as it's funding.

It's main merit is it's one of the few open world action mmos.

It does have some interesting features like a political system, which allows players to run ingame towns etc, if they can get that far otherwise it does shut out weaker more casual players from that ability while rewarding more dedicated players cause these towns are limited and affect everyone I believe.

Man, I'm really ****ing keen for this game. This and Guild Wars 2 will be my MMORPGs of the year. I've seen SteparuTV just play it... heaps... and it looks freaking amazing. So stoked to get a new PC for it.

Same but I'm going to put guild wars on hiatus until I'm done with Tera sadly.

With Steparu I greatly trust his ability as a tank in MMOs and he's a fair critic but I don't really read his critique though.

Yeah I know, he's was a friend of mine from SoS before he went heavy Korean mmos + game critic

But I still don't watch him, I know what he reviews though.

Why jelly I don't even talk to him :P, he played Dragon nest english for a while, but then after that I think he moved to korean MMOs.

Secret of the Solstice was good times~ I kited him with archer until my friend intervened and killed me during our 1 on 1 then killed Steparu as he was weakened [Derp]

Edit: Mainly cause like english free MMOs are just asian ones translated anyway -_-

Probably cause you play it alone most of the time :P

I played during CB anyway first few to hit the mega exp curve we grinded things lower level than us just because there was nothing harder to kill :P

Are you going to pre-order Tera to get the guarantee CB test? or just going to wait. :P

Do you know if we're on the US or the Europe servers from Australia? Because that will make a biiiiiiig difference.

e: Apparently we can play on the US servers. Sweeeet.

Yup, we're should be open to both US and Europe Servers, europe will be IP blocking americans however and I think a few others, Oceania should be able to freely access both, I know for sure US Tera is open to Oceania.

But for Europe I have to double check.

Europe is having a sneak peek event, unfortunately I was sleeping during the middle of this (was like 2-4 am in the morning for australia) but I still managed to snatch a key at 7-8am off another site that wasn't listed to have keys. :)

Hopefully the lag isn't too bad... shouldn't be, as long as the servers are westcoast.

US players that've played K Tera said they had 400-700 ping at times and it was okay, with a bit of delay but apparently more playable than SWTOR at 100 ping.

I'll try to tell you how the lag is for EU Tera if I get to test it out.

Yeah I gave up the key to someone else I wasn't able to download it intime so yeah... :P I'll let you know when US Tera beta starts I guess~
