A general discussion on those devices we put on our heads to drown out the nagging...I mean for better sound quality :P

I've been using the SteelSeries Siberia V2's steelseries.com/... for ages now and I'll be hanging on to them because they do a good job.

I'm a big audiophile, well, at least I thought so.

I had a pair of B&O A8 -
The B&O had bad base, the higher pitch was too sharp, listening to some podcasts killed my ears.
Then I left them on the plane :(

So i went bought a pair of Shure SE210, they are not as comfy to wear, but they filled mid range and higher ranges. The base is quite average.

Generally buds don't have as much wow as headphones, but I can keep them in pocket and take them everywhere.

I'm rocking the Siberia V2's in white myself. They are bloody delicious, especially in white.

For music/walking around I'm rocking a pair of Skullcandy Aviators - the only good sounding Scullcandy's ever!

I refuse to spend money on earphones, canal or bud, simply because I hate them, they are uncomfortable and generally the sound you get out of them entirely depends on the current position of your jaw.
That and because they are in my bag or pocket, they eventually break.

Headphones are an entirely different kettle of fish.
Get ones that don't give you a headache after several hours of wearing them and stick with that style.
The audio technicas that I have are so damn comfy due to the big arse pillows that sit around your ears and the minimal pressure it puts on the side of your head.
Those akgs look similar so I'm willing to bet they are mighty comfy head gear [Shifty]

Yeah Technica's are really comfy indeed! That's why I went with the Aviators. Skullcandy are known for making average headphones that look awesome but with the Aviators they finally got the function and the beauty right.

The Siberia V2's are so comfy, I could wear those bad boys for hours! The hide away mic is definitely handy too!

Use it on my Xbox 360 with the Audio mixer.
The 5XB's I won from the competition here had a little problem so I sent them over to them. I guess they took a while to get to me so they sent be back 5Hv2's. Wouldn't mind the Siberia V2's in black. [Derp]

Just want to figure out a way to get the damn SteelSeries to work with the Razer Onza.

All these recommendations for Siberias... Makes me think like I should try them, but I know I would hate them. I've learned now to basically ignore what everyone else tells me about headphones [Facepalm] I've bought too many sets based on the opinions of others and been in disbelief at what people consider good. No more!

If you paid anywhere near $150 for those then you really, really should have got AT's. But then you never listen so the Siberia's can be your punishment ;)

well if its only 50 bucks more for extra awesome then i'll get them... plus they look pretty [MOG]

E- oh no... they have velvet ear pads :*O

I cant touch velvet without cringing [MOG]

I will be changing to lossless when I rip my next CD ;)

Problem is I no longer use an optical drive on my computer. I have embraced the disc free future [MOG]

Malaka I wouldn't call it velvet its just soft fabric. Its nothing like that freaky rigid soft feel of velvet :P
