- It was fourteen years ago that Midway decided to release their sequel to their successful and controversial arcade classic, Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat II took the franchise in a new direction, establishing it as arguably the best game in the series. Now, fans of the arcade fighting game can get their hands on the brawler anytime they want, without pumping in quarters or waiting in line in an arcade. Thanks to SOE, Digital Eclipse and Backbone Entertainment, Mortal Kombat II is now available for the low, low price of 5 dollars on the PlayStation Network. But is this game really worth the money for fans of the series? That's a simple question to answer: Hell yes.

Love MKII but this port was poor to say the least. Unresponsive controls made it difficult, a tad slow. It was sooo hard to beat your opponent which lead to frustration. The graphics didn't bother me, but the gameplay in this port loses its fun factor.
A good thing tho it only cost $5

yeh, after buying Tekken 5 for $21.95 and seeing that it was a HUGE waste of money, i definately WOULD NOT buy this, who actually writes the description on these things.. is it worth it? they wrote " hell yes " for some1 to say games like this are good they must have upgraded from a commadore 64 or something

Its to original, And should never have been priced that high.. it should have been $5 like the rest.
I actually think tekken should have been a free download like Gran Turismo was.. thats me though,
It wasn't to bad but overall, but i was dissapointed, i was expecting it to be ALOT better being on ps3, i'll leave it at that since this is a MK2 thread

I love MK II, but Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting is more my game, lol.
