Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 confirmed with trailer

UPDATE 10:15 am: The first trailer has been released in the US and is now available for the whole world to see (sorry, Channel 9).

Black Ops 2 is a near futuristic shooter set in 2025. And yes, it does include a great many horses.

Original Story: Activision has confirmed the worst guarded secret in gaming: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is coming this November.

The UK website -- which is blocking Australian IPs -- is now live and confirms the game. Black Ops 2 is heading into the near future with a 21st Century Cold War.

"Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare. Pre-order today," it reads.

Aussies will have to wait a little longer for our "official" launch. It's getting the TV treatment on Channel 9 at 9:45 pm tonight.

As expected, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on November 13, 2012, the day of the full solar eclipse.

The message of this trailer (or game) is that the future in warfare will use new advance technologies to fight wars but are venerable to work against them but u can't beat the old traditional human soldiers to fight wars.
So it's old vs new, east vs west, horses vs metal robotic horses with guns.

personally i've wanted to see call of duty do something 'new' for a while... it has been the exact same game with pretty much new levels/skins since cod4... i would have liked to see IMPROVED graphics as opposed to dated (looks horrible).

im not sure what to think of the futuristic stuff, but cod srsly needs to change it up and get me interested again... why have they not yet incorporated vehicles into it like halo!!!
