Crysis 3 'a spiritual successor to Crysis 1' gameplay

Crysis 3 will return to the more organic, open gameplay of Crysis, according to Crytek CEO, Cevat Yerli.

"Crysis3 will be more a spiritual successor in gameplay to Crysis 1 instead of Crysis 2."

The game will also have refined nanosuit abilities, a suit upgrade system and New York-based urban environments.

The city itself will have been overrun by nature, following on from Crysis 2's setting, but will offer a more open and exploration-driven experience than the 2011 blockbuster.

Crysis 3 will also have DX11 support straight out of the box, something that should please PC fans of the series.

What would please PC fans is if it wasn't a damn console port which more than likely it will be, oh and the damn Origin exclusivity thing.

It's not Steam.

If anything it would be nice to have a choice but then EA wouldn't have a business

I won't pay for an EA game if it's not on Steam or console. EA will only see money for Crysis 3 from me if its on WiiU or Steam. Pulling games from Steam like that was a ridiculous move that has cost them a lot of business.

The herp derp controls of Crysis 2 was what got to me the most.

Crysis has a beautiful control system. Reducing capability to support the lower key/button count on controls really ruined gameplay for me.
