Crysis 3 will "push 360, PS3 to the limit"

Crysis 3 will make the most of the hardware capabilities of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, according to Crytek CEO, Cevat Kerli.

The third game in the popular Crysis series follows on from the critically acclaimed Crysis 2, a game which received criticisms from the PC faithful for being a console game first, PC game second.

However, Mr Kerli has assured PC gamers that, while the console versions will take both pieces of hardware to the limit, the Windows version will clearly be ahead on the graphics front.

"Crysis3 will push the 360, PS3 to its limits, ahead of Crysis 2, but Crysis 3 PC will be clearly ahead," said Mr Kerli on Twitter.

Crysis 3 is scheduled for release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Eh, he said the same about Crysis 2 (which ran beautifully, by the way). I'm still hoping for a physics-centered game; that's really what made the first game so good. In other words, rely on CPU power, as opposed to pure GPU (which was their focus with Crysis 2). The freaking tech demo you showed for CryEngine 3 was perfect, just use that. *_*
