Dick Smith's second gaming clearance sale starts today

Update: As a gesture of goodwill, Dick Smith is offering 30% off all games and accessories until Sunday.

"Due to the unauthorised leaking of an internal price list last week, our Game On Sale has exceeded expectations," said an official statement.

"As our Game On Sale continues this week, we would like to inform our customers that stock is selling faster than expected. We thank you for your patience and continued support and apologise for any inconvenience caused. As a gesture of goodwill in addition to the Game on Sale event we will now be offering extend the offer to include 30% off gaming software and accessories until Sunday 15 April. Please note that this excludes all gaming consoles, digital cards & already advertised catalogue lines in our Game On brochure."

Original Story: After the shambles of last week's "unadvertised" Dick Smith $7 million gaming clearance non-sale, Dick is trying again, with a slightly more legit attempt beginning this morning.

Stock is still extremely limited, but some of it has been promoted in this week's catalogue.

The unbelievable deals of last week, which turned out to be too good to be true, are a hazy memory at best. There's no $100 Xbox or $40 PSP.

However, DSi consoles are going for $40, if you're lucky enough to find stock.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft Classics are down to just $1, and Fifa 10 is only asking for a gold coin donation.

Nothing that fantastic besides the $40 DSi, at least in the catalogue.
I managed to get rayman origins on wii yesterday for $10 when they dropped their online prices, all the stock online was gone ridiculously fast again though. Its actually arriving today according to the tracking they sent me, pretty good service :)
The entire sale was handled rather poorly. Of course, it was never supposed to be leaked to the public, but that's what the Internet does I guess.
Seems to be pretty much 30% off now.

same i thought it was really good ^_^
So it was actually good this time?
There was more in the last sale I reckon but if you were lucky to get a few things. I bought 360 batteries for controllers 2 pack for 17
Yeah um Ben. This is the same sale. Exactly the same lol. The problem was the leak. Prices were due to drop on the 2nd of April but not be advertised until today. But of course someone got wind of the leaked price list so everyone assumed the sale started on the 2nd, and people lined up for hours to get $100 Xbox 360s when they failed to check the item code next to the item they wanted on the leaked list. Walking into most DSE stores found heaps of Xbox 360s, using the newer item code, which of course meant they weren't on special. I was first lining up on the 2nd, got 4 games and a big Wii accessory pack, probably $150 worth of stuff for $20 or so :)
I got Red Dead Redemption, FIFA 11, Medal of Honour, and Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One for $21.25... one guy in my store got 3 games for free as those items weren't showing up on their system and the store was closing down.
I got Kirby Epic Yarn and AFL for Wii for $10.50 each, and I got Force Unleashed 2 and NRL for $3.50 each.
Went to Dick Smith for first sale, and all staff had been withholding items for themselves. #unfair #hate [Rage]
