E3 2009: Metal Gear Solid Arcade announced

During Konami's E3 2009 keynote speech, Kojima took the stage to reveal a surprise for Metal Gear Solid fans.

Metal Gear Arcade will be an arcade game based on Metal Gear Solid Online for the Playstation 3 and will feature 3D goggles. The game will be networked with booths at other arcades, so you can play against friends on the other side of the country

Metal Geart Arcade was confirmed for release in Japanese arcades this year, but no word on whether it will see the light of day outside the land of the rising sun. We're not holding out breath.

There's no mention of it being a PS3 'exclusive', let alone being a console game whatsoever!
