- Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces delay for Gotham City Impostors
- Beta key holders can still enjoy the mayhem online
- February release is on the cards
It seems that the anarchy caused by the never ending war between the Bats and the Jokerz has caused Gotham City Impostors to be delayed.
Originally slated for a January 10 release, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has issued a quick statement telling eager fans that we'll be waiting until February to get a slice of the action. Those lucky enough to have beta access can continue playing till their hearts content, while the rest of us sit at home and work on our costumes.
Gotham City Impostors is based in the Batman universe, pitting two teams of "vigilantes" against each other in fast paced, Team Fortress-esque shooting action. One team represents the good guys, those who uphold justice and support Batman. The other team are the bad guys, siding with the Joker and his insane plots to take over the city. Due to the fact that characters are meant to be ordinary, everyday citizens, many of the weapons and costumes are home-made, which gives the game a very rustic appeal.
