Minecraft has sold 9.2 million across all platforms

It's hardly surprising to hear that Minecraft has now sold six million copies on PC.

Creator Markus Persson posted the news via Twitter, going on to say that if you factor in Xbox Live, Android and iOS sales, the total figure is "around nine million."

Mojang's Daniel Kaplan was a little more specific, saying that sales are closer to 9.2 million. Not bad for a game that doesn't exactly have a goal or endgame mechanic.
