According to CEO of Insomniac, Ted Price, who told VG247:
"We won't be making any more Resistances."
“Certainly over the next couple years, we’re going to see a huge evolution in visuals in social games,” Price said.
“It’s thanks to improving technologies. It’s thanks to browsers that are getting better and more powerful. It’s thanks to development teams – core traditional game teams who are moving into the space.”
The studio's clearly keen to move on then, even if Insomniac writer Jon Paquette believes there's more to come from the Resistance universe.
"I think it's still fertile ground", He said last September as Resistance 3 released, pointing towards upcoming Vita title Resistance: Burning Skies, which was handled by Nihilistic Software.
These days, however, Insomniac is branching into multiplatform territory, and is currently working on a new IP known as Overstrike. In addition, it’s also embracing the social gaming space with Insomniac Click, though little is known about it.
