Deep Silver has today announced that the console versions of Risen 2: Dark Waters will now be seeing an August release instead of the originally planned May launch. The PC-version will stay to its intended April 27th release date.
To perhaps appease the fans, Gothic-developer Piranha Bytes has developed additional content to come with new copies of the pirate-themed RPG title.
'Air Temple' is a DLC episode that will add several hours of additional gameplay and story to Risen 2. Its story-line involves Risen 2's nameless pirate hero and his quest to find a lost temple rumored to be a source of air magic. The protagonist will first search for an old acquaintance named Eldric to help find the mysterious Storm Island and ultimately the legendary Air Temple itself.
Risen 2: Dark Waters will now be arriving on Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 3rd, 2012. Take a look at the trailer below to get a better idea of this unique pirate-themed RPG.
