Skullgirls not support GFWL, cross-platform with PS3

Last week we heard that Skullgirls was coming to PC, this week Revenge Labs has revealed that it will have cross-platform play with PS3 gamers.

This tidbit of information was brought about via Twitter, when Revenge Labs were answering a the question, would Skullgirls support Games for Windows Live?

We hope to have PS3/PC cross-platform play implemented a few months after the PC version is released… so definitely not GFWL,”

This means gamers should never be short of a new challenger. Skullgirls is due out for PC later this year.

See this is something I'd like to see across pretty much all online type games. Cross platform gaming, is it the way of the gaming future?
I hope so, coz I got friends who have a XBOX and I a PS3 and I'd love to be able to take them on without having to go out and buy myself a new console.

Good news we need more of this sort of thing happening. Valve proved it was possible so other devs should try the same thing.
