Square Enix have announced their new, next-gen game engine, named Luminous Studio. Only a day before rival Epic will be showcasing their new Unreal Engine 4, Square Enix have provided the gaming world with perhaps the most lifelike visuals ever seen - all in real time.
Yes, that's right, Square Enix have stated that the demo was recorded completely in real-time, and no pre-rendered effects have been added to enhance visuals.
Whatever the case, with the announcement of Luminous Studio and reveal of Unreal Engine 4 tomorrow, gamers can be assured that the next generation of games will be pretty damn good looking.
