The Last Of Us, the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive from Uncharted series developer, Naughty Dog, will be showcased at E3 with a gameplay demo.
The news was confirmed by Spike TV's Geoff Keighley, who confirmed the game's showing via Reddit.
The Last Of Us follows Ellie, a 14-year-old orphan living in a military quarantine zone, who never knew the real world. Years of isolation have led to her fascination with relics from the old world, like books and CDs.
Her bearded accomplice and protagonist, Joel, is a weapons and drugs smuggler who sneaks cargo between military checkpoints aged in his late 40s.
The disease that has destroyed civilization is transmitted through the air, but requires a high concentration to infect a new host. People are scanned at military checkpoints to ensure they are healthy before entering the safe zone. Signs of infection will lead to immediate execution.
The game is expected to make a big splash at E3 next week, and is one of MMGN.com's 7 games to watch at E3.
