The Last Of Us, Naughty Dog's highly anticipated follow-up to its Uncharted series, will feature a multiplayer component but won't have a campaign cooperative experience, the developer has confirmed.
The game's creative director, Neil Druckmann, said that, while the developer's multiplayer direction wasn't ready to be revealed just yet, he could confirm that a co-op campaign currently wasn't on the agenda.
“We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us. We’re not ready to talk about the details of how multiplayer will be implemented, however we can say that it is not co-op within the main campaign,” he said.
While that doesn't mean we won't see co-op experiences separate from the campaign, it seems likely that the adventures of Joel and Ellie will be exclusively single-player.
