Schafer is heading to Melbourne for the Game Masters Exhibition, where he'll give a speech about many things, including the role of auteurs in game development, reports MCV.
He is the second special guest to be announced, following Peter Molyneaux.
The Game Master Exhibition will be held at ACMI in Melbourne between June 28 and October 28. It will display the work of numerous gaming legends from Pac-Man to Sonic and SimCity.
