NeoGAF deserve an award for being super sleuths. They have discovered a copyright registration by Insomniac Games for something called Outernaughts, along with domain registrations for "outernaughts-game.com" and "outernauts-game.net".
But wait, there's more!
A Google search for Overnaughts revealed a wiki page that was meant for EA Partners marketing planning, which revealed details about Insomniac's other game, Overstrike, mentioned Outernaughts, and something called "Respawn". There was also information about The Secret World and the upcoming Populous reboot to round things up. The wiki page was created by "pmarineau", which matches up with Phil Marineau, EA's director of marketing.
This could just be an elaborate hoax created by fans, but it could also be very true. We've contacted Insomniac but we're not expecting a reply anytime soon. We'll keep you updated.
