Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC arrives on PS3, PC

The Revolution DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been released on PS3 and Windows PC, following its Xbox 360 launch about a month ago.

It includes four new multiplayer maps set in China, Pakistan, Venice and the French Alps.

  • Hydro: Located in Pakistan, this hydro-electric plant comes complete with a lethal spillway that floods with very little warning.
  • Grind: Set in a skate park in Venice Beach (the birthplace of skateboarding!), quarter-pipes and curved surfaces drive players away from easy cover and into intense firefights.
  • Downhill: A ski resort in the French Alps, this snowy map is complete with a moving gondola system that can both offer cover and crush you to death.
  • Mirage: Located in China’s Gobi Desert, a luxury resort has been ravaged by a sandstorm.

The DLC also includes a new zombie mode and map.

The price is still fairly steep. Five maps will cost you $20.95.

the maps are total crap, i bought them for the X-Box 360 and they are the worst maps ever, it will be the last time i buy maps for this game [Rage]
SHIT! $21!!!! what a load. It is extra content that should essentially be included on release!! Now I know how Activision get their budgets from...which they don't put into execution because graphics are still 'beginning of generation' quality. I'd rather spend it on a full PSN game like 'Journey' and still have change left over
Considering the work and detail that go into the maps they are worth it. Also getting a season pass makes it cheaper.

You could say that about every game with DLC, TBH.

but what you couldn't say about every game with DLC is that they made $billion+... CoD makes so much money dlc really should just be free

but i disagree gamma, i think they're awesome. i was hell sick of the on disc maps
5 maps for $21?! BAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sad thing is this will actually sell.

Ahh I agree. They should be 800 like they use to be (CoD4, WaW) but meh.

People hate on CoDs success
I'd actually pay $21 for the maps.
Everyone always complains about the price and whatnot..
But Honestly.. If you play the game that much.. you'd pay for the map packs :L

I'm gonna buy the Season Pass.
i have to hand it to Activi$ion... they are really good giving people shit value for money and still making millions!

can't believe anyone would pay that much for five maps.

$21 for me is two decent indie or small studio games on steam.. X_X
BO1 dlc packs are still like that much so why all up in arms now?

it's up in arms every time DLC is released, really.. the fact that any DLC is that much is appalling, especially when it's only a few maps.

I'm surprised people are still commenting about how outrageous it is. There are thousands of people who only really play CoD online. Nothing else. Maybe a few offline games. I know majority of my online gaming is on CoD. So for me, Since i don't really buy many games (this year all i want is CoD, GTAV and the new Gears) so buying the DLC for CoD doesn't really seem like that much.

Even if it is "terrible content"
It might not seem much to you, but in the context of the entire industry (especially as it continues to evolve into what I call the digital era), it's a LOT.

I mean, for sure, thousands of people pay that money, so hats off to Activision. But it's only going to be so long before a lot of people realise the rest of us are buying two, sometimes three or four quality titles from smaller studios for the same price.

*shrug* like I said, I'm just surprised people pay it.
It's just a circle. CoD DLC will sell regardless. Some people may realise and jump out for those smaller titles. But some will jump back in or more people will jump in and buy the DLC.

It shouldn't so surprising people play it, look how popular the franchise is. Constantly smashing its own records.

I guess in a gen or two when its majority digital only then we'll see the decline of CoD sales, DLC price reduction OR just a digital release of CoD Multiplayer.
The real crime here is the mark up that MS & Sony impose on DLC on their platforms. I got these through Steam, which also imposes a mark up, but I only paid $15 for them...

This and titles generally being way cheaper on pc compared to console has assisted in my departure from these ass raping playgrounds that MS & Sony facilitate.

I've seen my game library treble and my bank balance healthier since crawling back to pc late last year. Sure I forked out more for my gaming rigs, but I've saved shitloads more through software and online key purchases...
console gamers pay for hardware and software once per 7 or so years - how good was your pc 7 years ago? COULD IT PLAY CRYSIS? pmsl
but seriously, what you saved in software and online key purchases you prob spent on your rigs.. just saying

Actually, He'd still probably be coming out on top regarding saving money.

And you most likely won't be able to play Crysis in 7 years on your outdated console, especially with both console vendors abandoning backwards compatibility. So I'm not sure what your point is? My rig of 7 years ago played Crysis 1 no sweat, and my current ones do just fine with it now as well.

You'd be surprised with the savings to be had from purchasing Steam keys from the likes of Green Man Gaming etc. With most new releases a third or half the price of a retail console disc. Nice try dude...
take ****ing a joke [Derp]
I would if it were funny, sadly it ain't...
