Recently announced at the VGAs Dark Souls 2 has been confirmed for release in 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
A press release issued after the VGA announcement explains that Dark Souls II will feature a new character and a new storyline. It will also feature a "server-based multiplayer mode."
Furthermore, the press release notes that "Dark Souls II will continue a legacy of goading its passionate fan base with unrelenting challenge and suffering that are considered a hallmark of the series; while presenting new devilishly devised obstacles for players to overcome."
Edge magazine has also revealed that this will be the first in the Souls series not to be helmed by creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. Instead newcomers Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura will take the reins, with Miyazaki supervising.
With a simultaneous release on PC maybe will get a much better port than last time? hopefully From Software have employed some PC devs? either way i can't wait!
