Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse will be released November 23 for Xbox 360 and PS3, publisher Activision has announced.
Activision have additionally released details of the game's local multiplayer. Players can invite up to four friends through splitscreen and play as several Family Guy characters, including Peter, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire, Cleeveland, and many others, for crazy team missions, competitive multiplayer or just general mayhem.
There will be multiple multiplayer challenges that promise to stay true to the Family Guy spirit with plenty of "unexpected gags and cameos at every turn". It isn't clear, however, on whether or not Back to the Multiverse's multiplayer is restricted to local play only.
Back to the Multiverse is being developed by Heavy Iron Studios, a company experienced with turning licensed properties into video games, such as SpongeBob SquarePants and The Incredibles.
