Rumours suggesting Final Fantasy Versus XIII had been cancelled clearly didn't get the memo about today's meeting.

Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada took to Twitter to debunk rumours by confirming that it is still in development. In fact, he just left a meeting about it.

"There’s someone making a false rumour that Versus was cancelled. Haha…Just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended. The presentation of the city knocked me off my feet~lol," Wada Tweeted, via Kotaku.

Agree it was obvious why would they scrap a game that a) has been in the works on/off for the better part of 6 years & b) has bigger hype than FFXIII had.

TGS cannot come sooner. Considering their is a meeting for versus i can assume it will be the showcase title at tgs.

Although i didn't believe the rumour. Still in the back of my mind i was worried. (It be my most wanted game ever)
