Sony has narrowed down the Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy support update release to 'the beginning of August'. Currently slated for a August 6th release in Japan, i would guess at a release worldwide when PSN updates the following day on Tuesday.
While we continue to wait producer Yoshikazu Matsuhana also unveiled the trophy list we can look forward to which you can see below. Kinda hoping this is a partial list as there are only 20 of them and most are pretty easy.
The patch will also eliminate the micro game-installs in between each Act/Chapter allowing for a smoother gameplay experience by offering a full game install.
UPDATE
A patch that adds Trophy support to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PlayStation 3 has gone live in Europe.
The download, which weighs in at 516MB, will automatically begin when MGS4 players next sign into PlayStation Network, publisher Konami has announced.
The previously-revealed patch arrives as part of the Metal Gear Solid series' 25th anniversary.
34 Trophies are included - 15 hidden, seven bronze, eight silver, three gold and a platinum. There are awards for defeating bosses, finding model posters, and even one for vomiting.
Finally, the game will also permit you to perform a full game data installation. The data required to do this is a massive 9gb of hard disk drive storage space requiring up to 16 minutes of your patience.
