Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us will not have a 3d option as reported on the Official PlayStation Blog unlike Naughty Dog's previous hit Uncharted 3 which was released almost a year ago.
Community Strategist, Eric Monacelli, did not provide a reason for the lack of 3D support in Naughty Dog's upcoming title.
PlayStation Europe chief executive Jim Ryan was recently quoted as saying.
Where it makes sense, 3D technology will be included into our games.
Would the 3d be to subtle for its use and cause a hit to the system that would otherwise make the game unplayable?
