Playdead are still keeping mum on their follow-up to Limbo, which is only known so far as Project 2. However game director Arnt Jensen has revealed that the title will be created with the Unity engine.
What does this mean? First of all that the studio won't need to spend time creating a new engine from scratch, which was the case with Limbo. It also means that it can be ported to almost every single platform on the face of the Earth.
The only screenshot we have of the game is at the top of the page, and according to Jensen, the boy may be one of several similarities between Limbo and the upcoming title. Apparently many ideas were cut from Limbo, so perhaps this next project will explore some of those.
We're excited to learn more.
