PS4 games 'a walk in the park': Just Cause dev praises console architecture

Just Cause 2 developer Avalanche Software is in high praise for the PlayStation 4, following comments last week that the console would "out-power" the PC for years.

Avalanche Studios CTO Linus Blomberg now says development on the console is a walk in the park.

"I hink that’s one of the major lessons Sony learned with the last generation, you have to be accessible for the developers to be successful," he said, referring to the PS3's difficult development architecture.

But he admitted that it was still a challenge to go from developing for the PC platform to a console.

"Of course, there’s still some quirkiness involved, especially if you’re used to a Windows development environment."
