The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf was never coming to consoles this year, according to managing director at CD Projekt RED, Adam Badowski.
Back in late May, The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf was listed on the Danish branch of Blockbuster and online retail website Coolshop.
"It's not true; that's a mistake. It's not even rumor, it's a mistake... Yes! [in response to definite cancellation 3 years ago] You never know, but we are busy and have two different games." - CD Projekt RED's Adam Badowski
Those two different games mentioned are Cyberpunk and an as-of-yet unannounced project. It's a shame console players won't get to experience the original Witcher, but it has been quite some time since the original released, so it was only to be expected.
