"See the future" - Sony teases PS4 reveal

Sony has announced a PlayStation-related event for February 20 with a teaser video showing abstract pictures of PlayStation symbols.

Could it be of the new PlayStation 4 reportedly codenamed, Orbis?

The 45 second trailer is flashy with lots of bright colours and the iconic PlayStation buttons, but otherwise shows us absolutely nothing.

Sony will also be hosting the Destination Playstation Event which runs on February 25 -28, where it will be showing off its upcoming releases for 2013.

Do you think Sony will announce the PlayStation 4 at this event?

I'd say we will get an outline of the PS4 hardware. Nothing in depth, just a brief description of its power and features, maybe show the new controller.

It will definitely be next gen playstation. If they want to beat Xbox then this is the right thing to do. And the fact that this 'meeting' has popped up from no where means they WANT to reveal it after saying they want to wait

See the future, Playstation logo boot up screen/teaser, the event being a big one in which press are invited to in New York, alot of people expecting it to be Sonys next generation console. It being a Playstation meeting which is a event where they usually reveal new hardware. There's plenty to look into if you read between the lines.

They only have 2 on the PS3 to show off before they finish up this generations big first party titles (GoW and The Last of Us)

PS4/Vita on the other hand, yes.
