Here it is! The first official gameplay of Call of Duty Black Ops 2, direct from GamesCon. Played and uploaded by Youtube user "Nymmyy", we get our first lengthy look at the highly anticipated multiplayer mode.

Please keep in mind that the footage being shown is in Alpha stage, meaning that a lot of gameplay mechanics are subject to change.

didn't watch much of it but it looked interesting. Doesn't appear to stray too far from the formula which is good in my eyes.

I know many people will come on saying things like "looks the same as cod 1234567", but that's the style of gameplay people want and enjoy. Why would they make a game to appeal to people who will relentlessly dislike the game regardless? Most those people are just disliking it to be pretentious anti-conformists twerps anyway.

Looking forward to it regardless of the comments to come =D

It looks...OK? It seems like they're changing so much for the sake of changing things. I've kind of gotten onto the "keep it simple, stupid" bandwagon. Imagine if we got a futuristic game with COD4-like gameplay: minimal killstreaks, low scores, simple gameplay.

This looks to add a lot of new stuff, which is great, but it's still just a whole bunch of individualistic reward for kill-inspired gameplay. IW tried to make it more "team orientated" with pointstreaks, but Treyarch is really just doing the same thing: it's always just going to be about kills. Both Treyarch and IW need to give up on CoD being a team experience, unless they ditch all of the "UNLOCK 10 KILL/POINT/TEAMSTREAKS" and rewards and go back to simplicity. Otherwise it's always going to be players thinking, "I WANT THE BEST KILLSTREAK, MOST KILLS!" which is what turns so many people off CoD.

Happy for anyone to disagree with that sentiment.

I just want a CoD game that's nice and simple not over the top, balance, challenging with a great variety of maps, weapons and plenty of customization.

The score streaks are apparently balanced. "Capture 2 flags and get 2 kills can give you dogs. If you want to only kill, you need 13 kills."

Just show me some Zombies gameplay and mayyyyybe I'll buy it. That's really the only reason I am somewhat excited for Black Ops 2. All I really want is the Zombies. -_-
