HD remakes of Sega's Yakuza and Yakuza 2 have appeared on a Sega Japan release schedule, which was spotted and ousted by Andriasang and promptly taken down.
The page listed the HD collection for launch on PS3 on 1st of December 2012. Given that all four numbered Yakuza titles and Yakuza: Dead Souls have been localised, it's safe to assume the collection will see the light of day in the west.
The Yakuza series is a long-running Playstation exclusive franchise, often billed as the Japanese Grand Theft Auto, though its unique blend of RPG, action, brawling, mini-games and open-world elements established its success, with a fifth title also set for release in Japan in December of this year.
Yakuza 1 & 2 originally released on the PS2 in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and an HD collection makes sense given the franchise's complex plot and Sega's focus on digital products and their recent strategy of revitalising their many fan-favourite games in their back catalogue.
