Zavvi lists GTA V for November 23, says sorry

Online retailer Zavvi got hopes up overnight when it listed Grand Theft Auto V with a release date of November 23, 2012. This morning it has been forced to backtrack.

When questioned about the November 23 date, Zavvi first told Eurogamer Portugal: "I can confirm that this is the release date forwarded by our supplier. If the release date changes, our website will be updated immediately," translated into English.

Zavvi once again made contact with Eurogamer Portugal several hours later to confirm that it was a place holder date, and that Rockstar is yet to announce a release date.

But where did November 23 come from?

I saw this on N4G this morning and didn't report it after I saw Zavvi had removed the release date. I was raging. I reckon it won't make release until 2013, personally.

Hopefully it isn't! I agree a tad bit in that GTA IV was a bit of a disappointment in the end. I think it was because it went from crazy fun San Andreas to super serious Liberty City 2.0. Even though I loved the story, that GTA magic was missing.
