It's OK I guess. Terribly overblown, but I'm just happy it finally got released.

I'm quite disappointed in the final product, but I'm still enjoying certain elements.

GT5 - What do you think? Comments

I'm going to flog this to death, cos its classic GT fun, but, the standard cars are a letdown....
Mostly cos I wanna drive them but not have to see shadows cast on them or reflections in their glass..I guess when I'm in them I don't. =D
Shall we start the countdown to GT6? (evil)
It's OK I guess, I'm enjoying it a lot and are really hooked in but I'm a bit disappointed in he final product. The graphics are not what I expected I really did think it would be better some tracks look terrible in the background and others seem a bit better. Same with the cars a few look good and others look very bland, the square pixels from the shadows on the cars are really bad from what I was expecting it looks shocking seeing them.

But other than that I really are enjoying it even though some of the challenges are infuriating to do ie Top Gear track.

I like R34 GTR.
I have something to confess...
The other day I got uber frustrated by the license challenges, and in a fit of rage I voted for the bottom option while deciding which small furry animal I would strangle to unleash some terror.
After settling down and playing it heaps over the last couple days, I absolutely ****en love it! (love) *_*
It still makes me rage, but it is so incredibly rewarding too. Every corner I nail, every 1st place I get, every credit I earn, every time I crunch through the gears with perfect timing and go sailing past my competitors... Words cannot describe the feeling. It's better than you know what. ;)
Haven't got it yet! because my damn PS3 is broken!

Hurry up and send it back!!! :'@
If Best Buy would've mailed the damn package by now, I would've been playing it.
It's pretty much GT: doing what it does. It suffers so much for it's hype as the graphics range from standard (premium cars) to atrocious (standard cars, tracks, backgrounds or basically everything else). There wasn't much change to the formula, I mean no evolution; it's not a gane that changes but it normally adds something more. Damage is a tad superfluous...

And yet... It's still amazing fun. The physics are the best in any game I've played (I haven't played iRacing) and just make racing such a god damned pleasure! It's a solid game in pretty much every respect, it just falls over on the same old stuff, like Mack of innovation and the unbelievable loading times.

It really does make me all the more impressed with Forza 3. All that waiting time and they arguably did not even top F3.

lol you just made me laugh harder then I have in weeks. [Facepalm]
i reckon the tracks n cars look good and about what i suspected! The only graphic shortage i could find is when your buying a car the pic of the car looks like a a bad amiga 500 pic.
The menu sucks balls! thereS no short cuts in the sub menus like other GT's. Loading times are a bit of a dissapointment

But all n all so far im digging this and when my G25 is back from being modded ..im getting into this balls deep my fine featherd friend ...BALLS DEEP!
I too expected much more visually, which is kind of a let down as they had teased us all these years with really awesome trailers only to find the actual game surprising in a not so good way.

Gameplay mechanics are great but it seems like the rules only apply to the racer and not the AI, specifically the Top Gear Track challenge where the Kombies can do as they please whereas if you do the same you immediately become disqualified. AI is still mainly running on railtracks which it reluctantly doesn't want to get off, so I'm left to rage.

This is like Call of Duty, great campaign mode but graphically it isn't the best as it should be...though CoD only takes two years to release compared to how long GT5 had taken! :E
GOTY, enough said :P :D
fantastic game and classic GT..
all the otehr sooks go and play COD
very dissapointed.

You dont troll much.
The premium cars only look "standard"? LMAO.
Get back to Forza chump.
Few things I've noticed after a solid week or more of experience:

The Bad
-: very monotonous
-: no photo mode for standard cars
-: no dealership for standard cars
-: near impossible to make big dollars and level up
-: the game generally doesn't flow well and leads to alot of grinding
-: little visual car customisation
-: AI is very poor to say the least
-: repetitive car list (we don't need 32 different NSX models lol)
-: alot of rubbish cars that can't realy be used for anything other than to fill your garage.
-: No Koennigsegg's or Apollo Gumpert
-: Little to no reward for effort and winning most races
-: Car damage is a joke (very unrealistic)

The good
-: Ferrari's
-: Mclarens
-: In depth car tuning
-: Endurance races
-: Excellent challenge of ones driving skills
-: In depth description of all cars
-: In depth explanation of the different tuning options
-: Can have a B-Spec driving team
-: 200 Premium cars & + 800 Standard ones
-: Incredible photo mode options
-: Challenging special events and license tests
-: Top gear test track (love)
-: excellent and challenging race tracks (especially Nurburgring 24 hr)

Despite the bad It's downfalls it is still a great game and I rate it 9.2/10
i've decided to buy NFS HP first then this and then forza 3. love racing games. racing games are my second favorite genre while RPG lies firmly on top.
I feel a bit the same as I did on MGS4 - they just keep polishing the original but stuff still feels the same, and a lot of work. Like MGS4 - yes you can still be crawling down a duct and rotate on your belly 180 degrees somehow...

Now the game is even bigger it is even more frigging work.
sorry premium cars look standard? standard cars look atrocious? what the hell is being smoked by Skarteh? I want whatever hes on

I agree with everything except the last sentence.

A threesome with 2 girls >>>>>>>>>>> GT5. And anyone who says otherwise has never had a threesome!
